The Static Charge Grounding Relay is a certified Intrinsically Safe product, mounted in a certified explosion-proof enclosure, thus providing a high degree of protection against possible fires or explosions caused by sparking owing to discharge of accumulated static charge on the Tanker body during loading and unloading operations. The instrument acts as an interlock in hazardous area environments, allowing the loading/unloading process to initiate only after satisfactory grounding of static charge on the Tanker body and Loading Arm.
